John has been with Odlum Brown Limited for the span of his 26-year career in the investment industry. Though many aspects of the industry have changed during this time, his commitment to his clients is unwavering. He believes that the most rewarding aspects to his role include the interaction and long-standing relationships he has formed with his clients and the pleasure of seeing his clients follow through with their goals.
In addition to achieving the Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI®) and Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designations, John has successfully completed various industry courses including Portfolio Management Techniques, Investment Management Techniques and Professional Financial Planning. He keeps abreast on financial market developments, governmental and regulatory changes pertaining to personal finance and current events by attending various courses and seminars.
John resides with his family in North Surrey. He is an avid golfer and is passionate about hockey and cycling. John is the Regional Chair of the Fraser Valley for Diabetes Canada, a cause that is near and dear to him as a Type I diabetic, and a President nominee of the Langley Sunrise Rotary Club. He supports many worthy causes in the Lower Mainland that invest in the well-being of our next generation such as Backpack Buddies, KidsSport, Kids Up Front and the United Way.
